History of occurrence
Information about the origin of the Kremlin diet is quite contradictory. According to one version, this method of nutrition was used to maintain the optimal weight of American astronauts.
Later, the program became very popular among Soviet high-ranking party leaders, after which it got its famous name.
The system became most famous in 2006 thanks to an article in Komsomolskaya Pravda. Despite a specific feature in the form of a daily calculation of consumed conventional units (cu), the Kremlin diet has gone to the masses.
The principles of the Kremlin diet
The weight loss program is a significant reduction in carbohydrate foods.
Only protein-containing foods and healthy fats are allowed. For one gram of carbohydrates - 1 point is awarded (or cu). Any product has its own score.

Efficiency and safety for health is based on strict adherence to certain rules during the diet:
- exclusion from the menu of all prohibited products;
- maintaining the water balance in the body - drinking at least 2.5 liters per day;
- the use of vitamin and mineral complexes as a mandatory supplement in the daily diet;
- systematic control of volumes and contents of incoming food;
- the presence of physical activity.
The main diet for weight loss is built from meat and dairy, fish ingredients with the addition of vegetables and herbs.

Drinking is an integral part throughout the time of food restrictions. As drinks, any tea, coffee (from the 2nd stage), natural apple, tomato juices are not prohibited.
Without fail, ordinary water is additionally used.
Partially Restricted and Prohibited Products
A popular method involves the complete rejection of sugar-containing sweets, confectionery, ice cream, any chocolate, dried fruits, flour products, potatoes, semolina and pearl barley, almost all juices, alcohol (except dry wine).
Starting from the transitional period, moderate consumption is allowed: tomatoes, cucumbers, avocados, legumes, sweet fruits. Seasonings and spices are allowed to improve the taste of food. You can season meals with a small amount of sugar-free sauce.
Recipes for every day on the Kremlin diet
Below are some recipes for popular dishes.
The following foods are needed to make hot:
- broccoli cabbage - 200 g;
- carrots, tomatoes –– 1 pc.;
- canned corn - 50 g;
- peas - 20 g;
- Cut broccoli, carrot, tomato into small slices.
- Put a pot of cold water on the fire. Put prepared vegetables in boiling liquid, salt. Boil for 15-18 minutes.
- Add corn and peas to the broth. Strain for 3-5 minutes.
- Sprinkle the soup with chopped chives, dill.
One serving of soup - 2 points.
Fantasy Chicken Salad
List of required products:
- chicken fillet (boiled) - 250 g;
- Peking cabbage - 350 g;
- canned pineapple - 200 g;
- tomatoes (cherry) - 4 pcs.;
- fresh onion - 1 pc.;
- nuts - 20 g;
- sour cream - 100 g;
- Finely chop the chicken and vegetables.
- Pineapple cut into small slices.
- Chop greens, nuts.
- Put all the ingredients in a deep plate, pour sour cream.
- Salt if necessary.
100 g of salad contains 4 points.
Chicken soup soup
The composition of the products for cabbage is as follows:
- chicken - 250 g;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- small carrots - 1 pc.;
- cabbage (fresh or pickled) - 250 g;
- oil - 20 g;
- tomato paste - 2 tsp. (or 1 tomato).
- Boil the chicken, remove, cool and cut into small slices.
- Chop carrots, onions, fry in a pan with butter, add tomato.
- Pour 0.5 cups of the broth into the vegetables, then 10-12 minutes.
- In the pan, where the chicken was cooked, add cabbage, fry and meat. Cook over low heat for another 15 minutes.
For 100 g of soup - only 2.6 points.
Home-made boiled pork
In order to independently produce a satisfying and low-carb product, you will need:
- pork - 1-2 kg;
- lard - 70 g;
- garlic cloves - 7-8 pcs.;
- seasonings to taste.
- Prepare the meat - make small cuts on the surface, chop the chopped garlic in them, pepper. Place the pickled piece in the cold for 10-15 hours.
- Remove after cooling, sprinkle with salt. Put bacon on top. Let stand for 2-3 minutes. Put on foil.
- Preheat the oven, place the prepared product on a baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
1 serving is 2 points.
Diet cutlets are prepared from any fresh (frozen) fish (0 c.u.).
Based on 4 servings, you will need the following list of products:
- fish preparations - 0.5 kg;
- egg - 1 pc.;
- cheese - 60 g;
- spices to taste.
- Cut the fillet, put in a pan with cold water, salt. Put on a slow fire.
- After boiling the liquid, remove the foam, cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Drain the broth, leave the fish to cool for 5-7 minutes.
- Separate the flesh from the bones, pour in the eggs, add cheese, salt, pepper, mix everything.
- Preheat the pan, spread the mass in small circles.
- Add 100 ml of water, bay leaf, simmer for 5-7 minutes.
One serving contains 0.7 points.
To get a healthy roll, chicken and beef liver are suitable.
- liver - 600 g;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- butter - 20 g;
- greens and seasonings to taste.
Cooking option No. 1:
- Rinse the liver, put in a pan with cold water, put on fire (pre-soak beef for 20-30 minutes).
- After boiling, remove the foam, put the peeled whole onion, add salt to the water. Cook until cooked.
- Drain, cool foods.
- Put all the ingredients in a blender, grind in a paste.
- Roll up and set aside in the cold.
Cooking option No. 2:
- Fry the liver in a pan, add shredded onions, dill, spices.
- Grind products until smooth.
- Lay out the liver mass on food foil, oiled, twist in a roll.
- Place the product in a cold place for 2-4 hours.
There are 4 points per 100 g of snacks.
To prepare a juicy meat lunch you will need:
- chicken thighs - 3 pcs.;
- hard cheese - 70 g;
- low-fat sour cream - 65 ml;
- olive oil - 5 drops;
- Grate the surface of the ham with salt, pepper, olive oil, microwave. Bake until cooked.
- Transfer the hips to the pan, pour the sour cream and garlic sauce. Stew for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle hot meat with grated cheese, cover and simmer for another 3-7 minutes.
Snack contains 1 point per 100 g.
Menu of the Kremlin diet for a week for weight loss
The seven-day debut is the most limited in food, the norm for points during the day should not exceed 20-22. Any sweets, alcohol, pastries are strictly prohibited.

Pros and cons of the Kremlin diet
The prevalence of the ball nutrition system is explained by a number of its advantages:
- A wide and varied list of allowed and familiar products.
- Dishes for consumption can be cooked, stewed, baked, and even fry in oil, using almost any seasoning and herbs.
- there is no tight control over the amount of servings and the number of meals per day;
- During the diet, hunger strikes are excluded, there are forces and energy for full-time work, active physical exertion.
- With the correct passage of all stages of the program, without breakdowns and overeating, a gradual reduction in weight to the required norm is ensured.
- Sustainable result: kilograms dropped during the diet, even with some relaxation in food, do not return for a long time.
The use of the Kremlin system for weight loss suggests certain negative points:
- In the first two to three weeks, the use of any sugar-containing products, fruits, and also dried fruits is prohibited. People who are overweight often have an insurmountable dependence on sweets, and they simply can not withstand such restrictions without special training or supervision of a nutritionist.
- The abundance of fatty, meat dishes, a small amount of vegetables and the practically absence of cereals for a long period lead to a serious burden on the urinary system, there is a risk of kidney stones. Therefore, sticking to a diet for more than 1-3 months is dangerous to health.
- During the period of food restrictions, it is necessary to use additional vitamin complexes of groups A, C, B, mineral supplements (with calcium, copper, selenium).
The nutrition program is not used for the following health indicators:
- endocrine diseases;
- inflammation of the gastric mucosa;
- problems with the kidneys, blood vessels;
- pregnancy and lactation.
The results of the Kremlin diet
Indicators of volume reduction and body improvement will depend on the initial body weight, physiological characteristics of the person, as well as on the quality of the requirements. On average, to the penultimate phase, weight loss can reach 7-15 kg.
